We ship all in stock items within 24 hours (weekdays, excepting Holidays). 

99% of the time, items are in stock and ship as complete orders within 24 hours (excepting Holidays -see shipping timeframes below)

FREE Shipping:

Media Mail - FREE any size order.  This is a special rate class, and can only be used for books and software purchases.  When ordering manipulatives or robot kits, please select Priority Mail or UPS Ground.  Estimate delivery timeframes - 5-9 days.

 

UPS Ground - FREE for orders over $100. Estimate delivery timeframes - 5 days.  No Saturday delivery (see table below)

 

USPS Priority Mail - FREE for orders over $100.  USPS quotes a 2-3 day delivery timeframe, which is a goal not a promise.  We have on vary rare occasions experienced delays beyond these timeframes.   If delivery confidence is a must - choose Express Mail.

 

Expedited shipping (Next Day, Express, etc.) is not available as a part of our free shipping offer.  We reserve the right to ship USPS Media Mail when delivery timeframes are reasonable.

General Shipping Schedules - All shipping methods

• At this time we are shipping only within the US. 

• Orders received by 4PM CST on weekdays (M-TH) will be shipped the next day with all items that are in stock.  On average, 99% of all orders ship in entirety and within 24 hours.

Backordered Items:  On occasion, usually during peak times, some items do reach backorder status.  If an item you request is backordered, it will be shipped out within 10 days of your order date.  You are encouraged to contact us to confirm the status of any resources that are particularly important to you.  Backordered items are shipped via Media Mail rates.

• Orders received on Friday by noon CST, may ship on Friday.  Thinking To Learn reserves the right to ship within our 24 hour window, which results in a shipment on Monday. 

• Orders received after noon CST on Fridays are promised to ship on Monday.  When our schedules permit, we will ship USPS mailings on Saturday.  This level of service is a courtesy and occurs as an exception to our standard shipping timeframes.  Thinking To Learn plans to exceed your expectations whenever we can!

• Orders received over the weekends will ship on Monday.  Place your order by Monday 5 AM CST to meet this timeframe.

US Postal Service Shipping Options and Timeframes:

1. USPS Media Mail - This is the most reasonable rate, from a cost point, but is the slowest method in terms of time to delivery.  Only books and software may be shipped using this option.  Anticipate a 6-10 day delivery time from the day of shipment. When this option is requested for items other than books and software, we reserve the right to adjust your shipping costs to the next least expensive method and to adjust your order total accordingly.  This permits us to provide this service without violating USPS Policy for this special rate class.

2. USPS Priority Mail - choose this method when you want your package delivered within 3-4 days of your order date.  The USPS quotes an anticipated 2-3 day window for Priority Mail packages anywhere in the US. It guarantees delivery in this timeframe only through the Express Mail option.  Please add one additional day for processing by us.

3. ***USPS Flat Rate Mail*** - while not an option on our shipping menu during checkout, Thinking To Learn will ship using Flat Rate boxes whenever feasible.

Flat Rate Boxes carry the same delivery timeframe as all USPS Priority Mail, with a reduced rate.  Because it is impossible to determine whether your items will fit into the required packaging during checkout, when we ship using a flat rate box, we will adjust issue you an in-store credit to be used on future purchases.  You will receive a sales receipt within your shipment along with a credit record that  documents the in-store credit amount.  Credits for shipping will expire 12 months from the date of sale.

 

Thinking To Learn is pleased to offer these credits as a courtesy to all our customers, and as another way in which we fulfill our goal to exceed your expectations whenever possible.

4. USPS Express Mail - This service provides quaranteed overnight to two-day service. Sunday and Holiday delivery is available to many destinations for an additional $14.00. Express Mail orders are still subject to the 24 hour processing timeframe.  Call to expedite your order.  Expedite fees apply.

UPS Service Options

UPS does not count the day they receive the parcel as the first day of it's service.  Add 2 days to your delivery timeframe:  24 hours for our order processing and 24 hours for UPS package processing.  Holiday days and Weekend days should also be added to your delivery timeframe.  UPS does not ship on Saturdays.  Count your delivery days using this example:

Please leave daytime contact information on your order form in the case of any changes to your order or shipping times.

Tracking/Insuring Your Packages

Every package we ship has a delivery tracking confirmation attached to it.  This confirmation becomes our record of delivery of your package.

If there is any concern that your package, if left by the Postal Service or UPS, will not remain secure at your delivery address, please request insurance coverage for your package.

Thinking To Learn is not responsible for your package once the delivery service has confirmed that it was delivered to the address you gave us for delivery of your package.

You will receive one or more tracking numbers on a confirmation e-mail we send you when your order is shipped. This tracking number can be used to check the status of your package at UPS: www.ups.com and USPS: www.usps.com.

Confirmation and Shipping Notice Emails

Many times customers using an email address from free email services, like Hotmail, will have their purchase confirmation email and shipping notice emails blocked.  Please consider leaving us an email address from a different email service in order to increase the likelihood of receiving our purchase confirmation email and subsequent shipping notification emails.

Holiday Shipping Timeframes:

Christmas Holiday - Orders received between Wednesday, December 24th at noon CST and Sunday, December 28th will ship on Monday, December 29th.

 

New Years Holiday - Orders received after noon CST on Wednesday, December 31st will ship on Friday, January 2nd.
