Location:

Our offices are located in the Central US.  This centralized location reduces overall shipping timeframes and costs for our customers, regardless of their location. 

Resource Availability and Response Time:

 99% of the time, items are in stock and ship as complete orders within 24 hours on work days (excepting Holidays).  Most orders ship the same day, as a courtesy.

Free Standard Shipping:

Free for orders over $30. Shipped by Media Mail.  Estimated delivery 5-7 days on average.  USPS will deliver on Saturdays.   Choose this method when time is not of the essence.  

 

This is a special rate class, and can only be used for books and software purchases.  When ordering robot kits, please select Priority Mail or UPS Ground. Order totals will be adjusted to reflect the proper shipping method when Media Mail is not available.

Priority Mail

Delivers in 2-3  days most of the time.  But, not guaranteed by Postal Service.  Will deliver on Saturdays. 

If delivery guarantee is a must - choose Express Mail.   

UPS Ground

Estimated delivery 5 business days.  No Saturday delivery (see table below).

For express delivery - choose 2nd day or overnight air.

Expedited Delivery and Guaranteed Services

We offer expedited and guaranteed delivery services via USPS Express Mail and UPS Air.  Select these options when placing your order at checkout.

General Shipping Schedules - All shipping methods

• At this time we are shipping only within the US. 

• Orders received before 8AM CST on weekdays (M-TH) will be shipped the same day on average.  On average, 99% of all orders ship in entirety and within 24 hours.  Orders ship the same day as a courtesy.

Backordered Items:  On occasion, usually during peak times, some items do reach backorder status.  If an item you request is backordered, and will be replenished within 5 working days, shipment of your order will be delayed until receipt of the backordered item.  Most orders are then shipped complete within 10 days of your order date.  You are encouraged to contact us to confirm the status of any resources that are particularly important to you. 

• Orders received late on Friday, may ship on Saturday.  Thinking To Learn reserves the right to ship within our 24 hour window, which results in a shipment on Monday. 

• Orders received after noon CST on Fridays are promised to ship on Monday.  When our schedules permit, we will ship USPS mailings on Saturday.  This level of service is a courtesy and occurs as an exception to our standard shipping timeframes.  Thinking To Learn plans to exceed your expectations whenever we can.

• Orders received over the weekend will ship on Monday unless there is a National Holiday.  Place your order by Monday 8 AM CST to meet this timeframe.

US Postal Service Shipping Options and Timeframes:

1. USPS Media Mail - This is the most reasonable rate, from a cost point, but is the slowest method in terms of time to delivery.  Only books and software may be shipped using this option.  Anticipate a 6-10 day delivery time from the day of shipment. When this option is requested for items other than books and software, we reserve the right to adjust your shipping costs to the next least expensive method and to adjust your order total accordingly.  This permits us to provide this service without violating USPS Policy for this special rate class.

2. USPS Priority Mail - choose this method when you want your package delivered within 2-3 days of your order date.  The USPS quotes an anticipated 2-3 day window for Priority Mail packages anywhere in the US. It guarantees delivery in this timeframe only through the Express Mail option.  Please add one additional day for processing by us.

4. USPS Express Mail - This service provides guaranteed overnight to two-day service. Sunday and Holiday delivery is available to many destinations for an additional $14.00. Express Mail orders are still subject to the 24 hour processing timeframe.  Call to expedite your order.  Expedite fees apply.

5. Insurance:  The customer is responsible for requesting and paying for insuring any shipments.  Thinking To Learn LLC is not responsible for items lost in shipment.  Please call us to request insurance coverage for your purchases.

UPS Service Options

UPS does not count the day they receive the parcel as the first day of it's service.  Add 2 days to your delivery timeframe:  24 hours for our order processing and 24 hours for UPS package processing.  Holiday days and Weekend days should also be added to your delivery timeframe.  UPS does not ship on Saturdays.  Count your delivery days using this example:

Tracking/Insuring Your Packages

Every package we ship has a delivery tracking confirmation attached to it.  This confirmation becomes our record of delivery of your package.

If there is any concern that your package, if left by the Postal Service or UPS, will not remain secure at your delivery address, please request insurance coverage for your package.

Thinking To Learn is not responsible for your package once provided to the shipper: USPS or UPS.

You will receive one or more tracking numbers on a confirmation e-mail we send you when your order is shipped. This tracking number can be used to check the status of your package at UPS: www.ups.com and USPS: www.usps.com.

Confirmation and Shipping Notice Emails

Many times customers using an email address from free email services, like Hotmail, will have their purchase confirmation email and shipping notice emails blocked.  Please consider leaving us an email address from a different email service in order to increase the likelihood of receiving our purchase confirmation email and subsequent shipping notification emails.
